From Chemistry to Code — Building tools that solve real-world problems.
I'm a software engineer with a unique background in chemistry and research. After years in the lab, I transitioned to tech to pursue my passion for building practical, user-centered applications. My scientific background gives me a methodical approach to problem-solving, while my creative side drives me to craft elegant solutions.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me salsa dancing, at the gym, or gaming with my friends. Connecting with others is my true passion, which is why I believe in building technology that enhances people's lives and makes complex tasks feel simple and intuitive.
Building fast and responsive applications with a variety of technologies.
I’m a naturally curious builder who dives deep to understand how things work.
Bringing scientific rigor from NIH and chemistry labs into software design and debugging.
Focusing on simplicity, clarity, and utility to ensure tools delight users and solve the right problems.
Exploring intersections of tech and my passions — from lifting trackers to dance visualizers.
I love collaborating with others and finding ways to bring the best out of myself and my team.
A weight tracking application for fitness enthusiasts to log workouts and track progress over time.
A chrome extension that aids language learners by translating pages to a target language and providing on-hover definitions for target words.
A fix for the YouTube shuffle bug that allows users to shuffle their playlist without any issues. This project addresses the common issue where YouTube often played playlists in an unexpected order.
Stay tuned for new ideas and apps I'm currently working on!
I believe in building software that solves real problems. My scientific background gives me a methodical approach to problem-solving, focusing on user needs first and technical implementation second. I value clean, maintainable code that can evolve with changing requirements.
My transition was driven by a growing interest in technology and a desire to create tools that could help others. I began with self-teaching and online courses, building small projects that solved problems I encountered in my life, and eventually returning to UW-Madison to pursue a capstone certificate in computer science. The analytical thinking and attention to detail from my scientific background transferred well to building software!
I’m most inspired by projects that simplify complexity — tools that make hard things easier and help people navigate everyday challenges with confidence. My best ideas often come from my own life: building a weight tracker to support my gym routine, mapping out salsa events to fuel my love for dance, or creating a social planner to help my friends and I actually find time to hang out. When a project is rooted in real needs, I’m all in.
Yes! I'm open to freelance projects, contract positions, and full-time opportunities. Feel free to reach out through LinkedIn or email to discuss how we might work together.
